IMI - Patient Preferences in Benefit-Risk Assessments during the Drug Life Cycle (PREFER)

The project “Patient Preferences in Benefit-Risk Assessments during the Drug Life Cycle“ (PREFER) is a project funded by the Innovative Medicine Initiative (IMI), a public-private partnership between the European Union and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).

The main objective of the project is to strengthen patient-centric decision making throughout the life cycle of medicinal products (a term which, in the context of this proposal, also includes medical devices) by developing evidence-based recommendations to guide industry, Regulatory Authorities, HTA bodies, academia, and health care professionals on how and when patient-preference studies should be performed and the results used to support and inform decision making
